-image-Playstation 3 processor out

Thought I would leave this until their was a decent review out and now there is by the great people over at Arstechnica. Love the fact that Arstechnica also has its own file extension, perhaps I might do the same on this blog. Perhaps not. Can see the problems with PCs that don’t know the extension…

There is also more information over at IBM who jointly developed the processor with Toshiba and Sony, and who will also be bring out a workstation based on the Chip. I wonder if they will bring out a Mac version aswell. Now that would be sweet.

-image-I have a new mouse!

And I think it is fantastic. Although a normal mouse will do the job just fine, if you spend as much time as I do in front of a computer then your input devices are very important. I already had a fairly good mouse in the shape of a Microsoft Intellmouse Explorer. It wasn’t wireless, but it was optical, had the scroll wheel and enough buttons but I noticed that it wasn’t particularly precise.

Enter the new Logitech MX1000, it doesn’t use a normal optical system system but a laser and so is mean’t to be 20 times more sensitive and it certainly feels that way and alot more solid than anything else I have used to move a cursor on the screen. In fact I would say it really makes the way I interact with the computer more enjoyable by a large degree.

It is also wireless with a built in Lithium battery, has tilt wheel, battery indicator, loads of configurable buttons and the software included isn’t bad either.

Really interesting interview with Lindon Leader; the designer of the FedEx logo, IMHO one of the best logo designs yet, and one that continues to cause much debate over the infamous hidden arrow.

-image-FireFox 1.0 Released!!

-image-Blockbuster DVD rental

Just saw the advert for blockbuster rent out films through the post (yes america have had this for a while) and thought that I would check it out, as somehow I am usually to lazy to take them back and posting would be so much easier. So I checked out there top films of 2003 – and I have seen every single one of them… Oh well back to work I suppose!
